Overview

Canary Waves is an AI voice intelligence platform built for industrial safety. It works by passively capturing two-way radio communications on operational sites, transcribing them using automatic speech recognition, and applying machine learning to identify safety risks, hazard patterns, and compliance gaps in real time.

The company was founded by a mining engineer and a tech entrepreneur who saw the same problem from different angles: radio is still the primary communication tool on industrial sites, but the intelligence locked inside those conversations is lost the moment it leaves the speaker.

The existing website at canary-waves.com did not reflect the maturity of the product or the seriousness of the buyers. The redesign needed to reposition the brand for enterprise sales cycles while clearly explaining how the technology works without oversimplifying.

What Made This Project Strong

  • Technical storytelling for non-technical buyers: Structured the homepage narrative around the operational problem first, technology second, so safety managers understand value before encountering AI terminology.
  • Use-case driven architecture: Built dedicated sections for equipment communication, hazard identification, contractor oversight, and collision prevention, each mapped to a real operational pain point.
  • Trust and compliance positioning: Highlighted encrypted, read-only data systems and anonymization to address enterprise procurement concerns around data handling on industrial sites.
  • Founder credibility: Positioned the founding team's mining engineering and tech backgrounds as proof of domain expertise, critical in a category where buyers are skeptical of outsiders.
  • Conversion path for long sales cycles: Designed the CTA structure around booking a demo rather than impulse actions, matching the enterprise buying behavior of the target audience.
  • Approach

The redesign started with the positioning problem. Canary Waves operates at the intersection of AI, voice technology, and industrial safety, three domains that each carry their own jargon and expectations. The site needed to feel credible to operations leaders who have spent decades on mine sites, not like a typical SaaS landing page.

We structured the page around the four core use cases: equipment communication and collision prevention, hazard identification and documentation, contractor oversight and KPI tracking, and real-time alert delivery. Each section explains the operational risk first, then shows how Canary Waves addresses it without requiring new hardware or workflow changes.

The visual direction emphasized clarity and professionalism over flash. Dark, confident tones paired with structured layout and generous whitespace give the brand the weight it needs to compete in enterprise procurement conversations.

Performance was a priority. The site loads fast on the kinds of connections you find on remote operational sites, not just urban office networks. Image optimization, minimal JavaScript, and clean markup ensure the experience holds up regardless of where the buyer is reviewing it.
